Fostering Brilliance

To show our appreciation and respect for the diverse tapestry of experiences and cultural heritage within the UTS school community, we take the time to observe and celebrate cultural occasions at our school. We have so much to learn from each other, and when students and staff share their cultures and honour their histories, it brings a greater richness to the UTS educational experience for everyone. A deeper understanding of each other also helps prepare our students to become socially engaged global citizens ready for the future, which is central to the purpose of our school.

Parent-Teacher Interviews registration ends tonight

A reminder that Pick-A-Time for booking Parent-Teacher Interviews ends tonight at 11 p.m.

No Classes on February 13 and Late Start February 14

There are no classes on February 13, and February 14 is a late start. F2-S6 should be in the building until 10:15 a.m. on February 14.

Our Student Services team is planning a special session for all F1s on Wednesday February 14 during the scheduled late start. There will be two workshops for the students, one focusing on test and assessment preparation and the other on community service.

F1s should arrive at school at the regular time (8:50 a.m.) and go straight to the Multi-purpose room for attendance. If there are siblings or others who carpool with the F1 student, they can use the library to work quietly during the late start.

Panorama Survey: February 20, 2024

On Tuesday, February 20 during period 3, we will be inviting students to complete the 2024 Panorama Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Survey. Students who do not have class period 3 have the opportunity to complete the survey in the library.

As done over the last few years, this voluntary, equity and inclusion climate survey is designed to give us a sense of and pulse on how UTS students are feeling, relative to equity and inclusion in the school community. Results of this survey will help inform decisions, and future learning for staff and students related to making UTS an even more inclusive space.

This online survey is developed by Panorama Education. Panorama Education has partnered with the Harvard Graduate School of Education to develop validated survey tools and works with schools and school districts across North America, as well as globally.

Please let Dr. Kimberley Tavares know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you in advance for your support as we continue to work to make UTS an even more inclusive space.
